Emily LaFave, LMSW, is leading a support group for nurses beginning January 25, 2023. The group will cover secondary trauma, burnout, and compassion fatigue over five weeks. You do not have to be a client in order to participate.
With the help of Pure Psychiatric of Michigan PLLC, we offer on-site psychiatric and medication management to our clients. They are offering in-person and telehealth appointments within seven days of referral.
For sexual assault awareness month in April 2023, Prime Counseling Services is turning their waiting room into an art exhibit. Survivors will be able to submit art that represents their journey from victim to survivor. On April 15, 2023, we will have an art showcase and silent auction. We are accepting donations and 100% of proceeds will go to agencies that provide free services to survivors and to train therapists in evidenced based trauma work.
In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, we offer video telehealth sessions using a HIPAA compliant platform from the comfort of your home. Many individuals find this service convenient and will even do sessions on their lunch break or a time that fits into their schedule. Additionally, we safely offer in office sessions. You can decide which way to participate in therapy that works best for you.
We provide individual clinical supervision to limited license social workers. Something I hear often, is that new clinicians feel like they do not know what to do with their clients. I provide concrete solutions and actions steps to raise your confidence when working with your clients. We also take time to be reflective because that impacts the work we do!
