Jake knows that change can feel overwhelming, but he also believes it’s possible for anyone with the right tools and support. In sessions, he takes a hands-on approach, whether that’s role-playing tough conversations, creating scripts to practice, slowing down with mindfulness, or simply being an active listener when you need to be heard. His goal is to make therapy feel like a safe space where you can try things out, gain confidence, and carry new skills into everyday life.
Jake blends different approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, DBT-informed care, interpersonal therapy, and relational therapy. He especially enjoys helping people set healthy boundaries, move past self-sabotaging habits, and become clearer, more confident communicators.
He has worked with people facing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, family, self-esteem issues, and relationship struggles, parenting challenges, and identity exploration. Jake also has experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients, individuals navigating addiction and recovery, and those involved with the legal system.
What matters most to Jake is meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you grow. He believes therapy isn’t just about overcoming challenges. It’s about discovering a stronger, more authentic version of yourself.
